Heute hier, morgen dort

Last weekend, I took a break from my quaint little life in quiet Stuttgart (not really) and went to visit a friend in Munich. She has been living there for a while now and I have never been at her place before. She has a very small apartment in the city center and can walk to all the important places: Marienplatz, University, Englischer Garten... We didn't do very much as I have been to Munich very often and seen a lot of the sights. We spend hours at Starbucks, went to very unique stores and basically talked very much. Of course, we had to go to the famous Christkindlmarkt, which is okay, but I have seen much prettier markets than this one. I got the picture above from some tourism website, because I still haven't got a digital camera (buuuuuhh).
I was most impressed however standing in the famous Lichthof of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, the very place where Sophie Scholl and her brother got arrested for throwing their leaflet in 1943. I was always very interested in the "Weiße Rose" and Sophie Scholl in particular and especially after seeing the movie "Sophie Scholl - Die letzten Tage" in the fall, I was truly touched to be at that place, no matter how "normal" it is now.
